It’s Story Sharing Time!

November 8th, 2011 · No Comments »

It is National Story Week this week, which means it is a time to share as many stories as possible.

Wakakirri, the story sharing festival I work for, has released its National Winners across a range of categories: short story; short film; visual arts; song writing; and dance. There were some great entries this year, so I thought I would share some of them with you:

Click here to read the ‘The Conch Shell’ by Meg Kelman (Burpengary State School, QLD)

Click here to watch ‘Independence Day’, the winning short film from Gladesville Public School, NSW.

Click here to watch a cool visual arts slideshow by Hanne Delue & Tayla Harry (Lysterfield Primary School, VIC)

Click here to see the High School film ‘Last Week’ from Sydney Girls High School – it is a send-up of European arthouse cinema.

If you have Foxtel or Austar, you can check out great Wakakirri stories each day on the Aurora Community Channel – there are 5 different specials being shown this week (7th-11th of November) at 11.30am and 5.30pm.

Have you got a story to tell?
