The Final Countdown

It’s less than a month now until the release date which is of course extremely nerve wracking for the following very real reasons:

1) people might not like it

2) people might notice I spelt ‘stew’ wrong in the title

3) the glue holding the pages together might lose its stick and people will be holding a mess of pages in their hands and blame the author.

4) the day before the date of publication, the publishers might change their minds and decide they’d rather publish a textbook titled ’7 And A Half Fascinating Ways to Remove Red Spots from Brown Corduroy Furniture’. This book would no doubt be a page turner but I think people would find it not as useful as they might first have thought.

However apart from the aforementioned worries, I am very excited. Think of all the people who will be getting a copy of this book for every birthday and Christmas until the day they die.

I only have 2 chapters left to write on the first draft of the new book. It’s a very exciting ending and it involves lava, but that’s all I can tell you.

Lava and excitement are two of my favourite things!

I may / may not have used a few pages of your new book to write a shopping list on… sorry was that last chapter very important? I wondered why I went to the shops and came back with lava instead of tomato soup!
